Job Description

The Sales Engineer role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for driving sales performance and fostering long-term customer relationships. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following key responsibilities:


  • Achieve sales, profitability and collection targets for sales team in the Region.
  • Increase customer base with quality customers.
  • Closely interact with customers, understand and identify their needs.
  • Demonstrate products on site to customers and establish their suitability to customers’ needs.
  • Identify, well in advance, upcoming projects.
  • Fully investigate and ascertain credibility of new customers before appointment. To adhere the prescribed procedures for appointment including completion of “Customer Profile” form.
  • Ensure satisfactory level of after sales service.
  • Ensure adherence to budgeted levels of stock and receivable.
  • Strive to avoid bad debts and obsolescence of materials.
  • Attend promptly to customer complaints and provide satisfactory solutions.
  • Clearly understand and adhere to the warranty policy of Sika.
  • Closely interact with consultants and contractors.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in technical sales within the construction or chemical industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in customer relationship management and project management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data and present it effectively to diverse audiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
