1. Material Planning & Requirements
- Oversee and manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and components
- Validate material availability for each production cycle to support uninterrupted operations
- Continuously optimize planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, reorder points)
2. Procurement Coordination
- Collaborate with the procurement team to align purchasing plans with production and inventory strategies
- Provide material consumption trends and forecasts to support supplier evaluation and performance monitoring
- Ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials to avoid production delays
3. Inventory Management & Optimization
- Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, and replenishment cycles to maintain optimal stock levels
- Implement strategies to reduce carrying costs while maintaining service levels
- Identify and mitigate risks related to shortages, overstocking, and supply disruptions
- Analyze slow-moving and obsolete inventory and develop action plans to minimize write-offs
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to repurpose, liquidate, or optimize excess inventory
- Establish controls to prevent recurrence of obsolete or dead stock
4. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and present inventory and planning performance reports (e.g., inventory days, expired and near-expiry items)
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization
- Lead or support initiatives related to supply chain optimization and digital transformation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Professional certification in Supply Chain (preferably from APICS)
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP (mandatory)
- Additional qualifications in Data Science, Analytics, or Data Management are an advantage
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics systems
- Proficiency in data management and data science concepts
- Experience using Power BI
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
