Carry out and support CNC cutting and sub-assembly operations by interpreting technical drawings, selecting suitable equipment, and ensuring valid work permits are in place in order to contributes to the safe, precise, and timely delivery of production outputs while meeting quality standards, optimizing material usage, and maintaining full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) requirements, in accordance with the International Maritime Industries Management System (IMIMS).
1. Execute all assigned CNC cutting and sub-assembly tasks safely and within scheduled timelines.
2. Adhere to all technical documentation, including nesting drawings, production drawings, and marking instructions.
3. Identify and select appropriate CNC cutting equipment and methods based on job specifications and material requirements.
4. Obtain valid work permits (Hot, Cold, Isolation, etc.) prior to commencing any activity.
5. Participate in daily safety and toolbox meetings and evaluate job-related risks proactively.
6. Operate CNC machines in strict accordance with operating manuals and technical drawings.
7. Monitor material usage to detect potential shortages and initiate timely corrective actions.
8. Apply cutting preparations accurately, inspect finished cuts, and verify compliance with quality standards.
9. Inspect and maintain CNC equipment and tools regularly to ensure safe and efficient operation.
10. Demonstrate full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) responsibilities and procedures.
• Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification
• At least 7 years’ experience in Offshore Oil and Gas Construction or Shipyard/Ship repair Industry.
Familiar with the common cutting types: CNC auto cutting (Plasma & Gas cutting), IK-12 & Beaver manual cutting and marking
• Knowledge of G-code & M-code (EIA)
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools.
• Inspecting materials, cutting equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (such as face- shield, gloves etc.,)
• Understanding of various cutting processes, nesting drawing, production drawing, as well as cutting and grinding and bending operations.
• Good oral communication skills in English.
• Good Communication Skills (oral and written) in the English Language.
