Job Purpose
Provide technical leadership and daily supervision of mine geology activities for Mansourah Massarah operations, supporting open-pit operations. The Senior Mine Geologist ensures safe, accurate, and efficient grade control practices, high-quality geological data collection, and consistent reconciliation between mined material and plant feed. The role plays a key part in maintaining operational discipline, ensuring sampling integrity, and driving continuous improvement in geological processes that directly impact production performance and gold recovery.
Key Accountabilities
• Supervise and coordinate all grade control and sampling activities in the pit, underground, and ROM stockpiles.
• Ensure accurate geological mapping, ore spotting, and dig block definition aligned with mining plans.
• Maintain high standards of data quality, sample representativity, and assay QA/QC control.
• Support daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation processes between mine, ROM, and processing plant.
• Monitor ore boundaries and dilution to ensure optimal feed quality and minimize ore loss.
• Review and update 3D geological models and digital dig polygons in collaboration with resource and planning teams.
• Lead training and mentoring of junior geologists and technicians to strengthen technical capability and operational discipline.
• Promote and enforce safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards across geology field operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in grade control, sampling, and data management systems.
• Liaise daily with mining and processing teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on ore delivery targets.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.
Master’s degree preferred but not essential.
Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams in complex mining operations.
Minimum Experience:
6–8 years of relevant experience in open-pit and/or underground mine geology and grade control, preferably in gold operations.
Experience with RC and blast hole sampling, reconciliation workflows, and digital geological mapping systems.

Skills:
• Proficiency in geological and mine planning software (Datamine, MinePlan, Leapfrog, Acquire, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of grade control sampling, QA/QC, and reconciliation workflows.
• Ability to interpret geological structures, ore boundaries, and lithological variations in the field.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities for developing junior staff.
• Effective communication and coordination across multi-disciplinary teams.
