Job description

JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE


To lead the Material Receiving QC team and ensure that all material coordination, control, and related activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with applicable technical requirements, company policies, and procedures.


To support the Quality and Production departments by facilitating the smooth flow of materials in line with project timelines, shipping schedules, and departmental priorities, while ensuring that all manual and electronic records are accurately


maintained in accordance with company standards.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


• Supervise and coordinate the inspection of all incoming materials, equipment, and components.


• Verify materials against purchase orders, material requisitions, and approved vendor documents


• Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and systems necessary to ensure that material needs and requirements are effectively met, including the preparation of material management plan when necessary.


• Identify nonconforming materials and initiate NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports and Coordinate with vendors, procurement, and engineering to resolve quality issues.


• Plan and conduct surveillance audit on stored materials, and report accordingly ensuring the company wide HSEQ standards, policies and procedures are applied.


• Monitor incoming material quality and ensure the materials conform to the specifications and/or other applicable requirements.


• Ensure that project dossiers, including vendor material documents, are compiled, reviewed, and approved prior to submission.


 • Liaise with project management team, clients, other departments like Production, Planning & Engineering etc, to ensure material storage-related risks and opportunities are communicated & tendering stage & then project execution phase. 


• Interpret relevant codes, standards, and specifications applicable to material selection, handling and overall       management, and implementation of these requirements in the day-to-day management of different kinds of materials.  


• Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


Education • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering  


Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations)


• Certificate from either ASTM or ASME of material management courses or equivalent training program or equivalent.


Experience • Minimum of 10 years’ experience, relating to quality inspection of offshore structures (Rigs. Jackets, etc)


Languages • English   • Arabic is beneficial
