🚨 We’re Hiring: Quality Control Engineer / Specialist

UTEC is a market leader in Saudi Arabia’s power solutions industry producing Medium Power Oil Transformers, Dry-Type Distribution Transformers, Unit, Package, Prefabricated and Mobile Substations, Medium Voltage Switchgear, Low Voltage Panels, and Modular Prefabricated Data Centers.

As a Quality Control Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality and compliance across all production stages from incoming materials to final product release ,while driving continuous improvement and maintaining high quality standards.


🔹 Key Responsibilities

Quality Control Oversight:

  • Validate incoming materials and components as per sampling plans and technical specifications.
  • Monitor and ensure implementation of in-process inspection and test plans (ITPs).
  • Document QC observations and defects through NCRs and defect reports.
  • Ensure compliance with inspection checklists, drawings, and tolerance requirements.
  • Monitor availability and readiness of testing equipment.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate quality risks before product release.
  • Record major defects and contribute to lessons learned documentation.

Compliance:

  • Ensure daily adherence to quality procedures and standards.
  • Maintain proper control and documentation of quality records in line with ISO requirements.
  • Support the Senior Quality Engineer in maintaining and improving the QMS.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead and facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Pareto.
  • Promote a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement within the team.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on NCRs, corrective actions, and pending verifications.
  • Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly maintained.


🔹 Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in manufacturing or transformers industry.
