Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and experienced QA/QC MEP Engineer to join our dynamic team in Jeddah. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on our projects meet the required quality standards, specifications, and codes. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and excellence of our prestigious construction projects by implementing and managing a robust quality assurance and quality control system.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage the project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plan for all MEP activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure work is performed in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant industry standards.
- Review and approve MEP material submittals, technical data sheets, and shop drawings to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Manage and document all MEP-related inspections, tests, and commissioning processes.
- Identify, document, and track non-conformances (NCRs), and work with the project team to ensure timely and effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and the project management team on all quality-related matters to ensure clear communication and resolution of issues.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project quality documentation, including inspection records, test reports, and handover documents.
- Witness factory and site acceptance tests for MEP equipment and systems.
- Promote a strong quality culture among all site personnel and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a QA/QC role focused on MEP systems for large-scale construction projects, such as hospitals, commercial centres, or industrial facilities.
- In-depth knowledge of international MEP codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, BS Standards).
- Strong experience in reviewing technical submittals, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in conducting site inspections, quality audits, and managing non-conformance reports.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong organisational and record-keeping abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English.
