Job Purpose The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing projects related to pressure equipment (Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Tanks, and Skids) in compliance with PED and international standards such as ASME.
The role involves coordination from design to delivery, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline adherence.
Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end execution of projects involving pressure equipment and static equipment Ensure compliance with PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) and applicable codes (ASME, ISO, etc.
) Review technical specifications, drawings, and client requirements Coordinate with design, production, QA/QC, and procurement teams Prepare and monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables Handle client communication, meetings, and technical clarifications Oversee fabrication activities and ensure adherence to project quality standards Coordinate inspections, testing (NDT, hydrotest), and third-party inspections (TPI) Ensure proper documentation, reports, and project records are maintained Support procurement by reviewing vendor documents and materials Identify risks and implement corrective actions to ensure project success Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 5–10 years of experience in pressure equipment / static equipment projects Strong knowledge of PED , ASME Section VIII , and related standards Experience in fabrication of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, or tanks Familiarity with welding processes, WPS/PQR, and inspection methods Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Experience in handling client and contractor coordination Knowledge of QA/QC processes and documentation Skills Strong project management and coordination skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Problem-solving and decision-making ability Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Knowledge of AutoCAD and project tools (MS Project/Primavera) is an advantage
