We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Pastry Chef to support the opening of Hyatt Place AlUla.
Hyatt Place AlUla represents a significant milestone in Hyatt’s expansion across the region and will feature 215 guestrooms, two food and beverage outlets, meeting space, swimming pool and a fitness center appealing to both leisure and business travelers.
Your Role
As the Pastry Chef, you’ll lead the pastry operations and ensure the highest standards of quality, creativity, and presentation across all pastry and bakery offerings.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage daily pastry and bakery operations
· Create high-quality desserts, pastries, breads, and baked products
· Develop creative menus and seasonal pastry selections
· Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality standards
· Monitor food preparation, hygiene, and safety procedures
· Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for pastry items
· Train and mentor pastry team members
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
· Support pre-opening kitchen setup and operational planning
Qualifications
· Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in hotels or high-end restaurants
· Strong expertise in pastry production, baking, and dessert presentation
· Creativity and passion for modern pastry techniques and trends
· Good leadership and team management skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
· Good organizational and time management abilities
· Excellent English communication
· Pre-opening experience is an advantage
