Job Purpose / Objective 


Administering emergency medical care to injured and critically ill in an emergency environment or while transporting them to other medical facility as a member of an emergency medical team


Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities  


  • Provide care in the process of resuscitate patients in an emergency before hospital admission.
  • Determine the priority under the supervision of line manager for required emergency care as outlined.
  • Determine nature and extent of injury or illness and record patient information and vital signs.
  • Provide medical care during emergency situations, such as CPR, AED, control bleeding, prevent spinal damages, etc.
  • Lift and move patients as necessary for treatment and transportation to medical facilities.
  • Monitor patient’s conditions and stabilizations while en-route to the hospitals.
  • Operate emergency medical apparatus and equipment.
  • Drive ambulance as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of medical equipment and supplies and ensure equipment are working properly.
  • Keep vehicle clean and in efficient operating condition.
  • Help to calm down the family members of the victim and the public at the scene.
  • Provide patient and family education as per the needs.
  • Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
  • Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
  • Perform other applicable task and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.

Education/ Professional Qualification


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Medical Services

Experience 


  • Fresh Graduate; preferably with one year experience

Professional Licensing / Certification / Training 


  • BCLS, ACLS provider & Trauma Life Support
  • Saudi Council
