Role Purpose
The Oracle Fusion HCM Functional Lead will act as the primary HR business representative within the Oracle Fusion implementation programme, responsible for designing, validating, and deploying standardised HR processes aligned to Oracle Fusion best practices. The role plays a critical part in Conference Room Pilot (CRP) cycles, stage-gate governance, and business readiness, ensuring that all HR processes are fit-for-purpose, fully tested, and approved prior to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Process Design and Standardisation
The role holder will lead the design of end-to-end HR processes across the full hire-to-retire lifecycle within Oracle Fusion HCM, translating business requirements into standard Fusion-aligned processes and actively minimising customisation and exceptions. A core part of this work involves reviewing and rationalising legacy Menaitech HR processes to ensure they are appropriately structured for migration into Oracle Fusion.
Programme Execution and CRP Participation
The consultant will actively participate across all three CRP cycles — CRP1, CRP2, and CRP3 — validating system configuration against agreed business requirements, identifying gaps, and driving their resolution in collaboration with the System Integrator. The role is responsible for ensuring readiness for stage-gate approvals ahead of financial commitment and deployment, and for contributing to programme governance through sprint outputs, deliverables, and milestone reviews.
Business Representation and Stakeholder Alignment
This role serves as the single point of accountability from HR within the programme. The consultant will act as the primary liaison between HR leadership, the ICT team, and the Oracle System Integrator, facilitating workshops, process walkthroughs, and formal business sign-offs throughout the programme lifecycle.
Testing and Quality Assurance
The role holder will develop a comprehensive UAT strategy covering test scenarios and test scripts, and will lead the execution of User Acceptance Testing with HR stakeholders. Defect management is a key responsibility — tracking, managing, and driving issues through to closure — ensuring all processes meet quality and business acceptance criteria before go-live.
Process Documentation and Governance
The consultant will produce structured process documentation using BPMN or equivalent standards, ensuring all outputs are aligned with programme governance and BPM repository requirements. This includes supporting the creation of SOPs, work instructions, and training materials for HR end users.
Dependencies, Risks and Decision Management
The role requires proactive identification and management of dependencies, risks, and blockers impacting HR delivery, alongside support for tracking programme decisions and gate approvals. The consultant will ensure that all HR inputs remain aligned with broader programme timelines and critical milestones.
Key Deliverables
The primary outputs expected from this role are: standardised HR process designs aligned to Oracle Fusion; CRP validation outputs and issue logs; UAT test scripts, execution results, and defect logs; BPMN process documentation and SOPs; business readiness sign-offs for each stage gate; and ongoing contribution to programme governance artefacts and reporting.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will have proven experience delivering Oracle Fusion HCM implementations in a functional lead capacity, with strong knowledge of end-to-end HR processes and a clear track record of working within structured ERP programmes involving CRP cycles, stage-gate governance, and formal delivery frameworks. Hands-on UAT design and execution experience is essential.
From a skills perspective, the role demands strong business-to-technology translation capability, practical experience in process design and standardisation, proficiency in BPMN or equivalent documentation methodology, and excellent stakeholder management across both business and IT audiences. Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory for this role.
Preferred Background
Candidates with prior experience embedded within an HR function or HR transformation programme are strongly preferred, as is experience working directly alongside Oracle System Integrators. Exposure to large-scale transformation programmes operating under formal governance structures will be considered a significant advantage.
Success Profile
The right candidate will champion standardisation over customisation and take clear ownership of business readiness and quality gates. They will be equally comfortable operating in a structured, milestone-driven programme environment and engaging senior HR and business stakeholders. Above all, they will bring strong delivery discipline, attention to detail, and personal accountability for outcomes.
