Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled O&M AHU / Fan Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing Air Handling Units (AHUs) and ventilation fans to ensure reliable and efficient operation in accordance with performance standards and manufacturer specifications.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspection, maintenance, and servicing of AHUs and ventilation fans.
- Inspect and replace worn-out belts, filters, bearings, and motors as per service schedules.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related faults in HVAC systems.
- Perform vibration and alignment analysis to identify imbalance or misalignment issues.
- Carry out fan balancing and motor alignment to restore optimal performance.
- Conduct airflow and static pressure performance tests to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Execute corrective maintenance and adjustments during fault rectification phases.
- Support system startup, testing, and commissioning of AHUs and fans.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of operational findings and service actions.
- Liaise with supervisors and control engineers to ensure systems are operating within parameters.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company standards during all maintenance operations.
Skills
🛠️ Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operation and maintenance of chilled water pumps (3+ years preferred).
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
- Proficient in vibration testing and alignment procedures.
- Solid understanding of chilled water circuits and system dynamics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, such as P&IDs, mechanical layouts, and pump datasheets.
- Familiarity with efficiency testing and performance verification standards.
💼 Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial buildings, hospitals, or industrial facilities.
- Exposure to BMS-integrated HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
