Job description

The NDT Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of materials and structures within the civil engineering sector. This position involves overseeing non-destructive testing (NDT) processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading a team of technicians. The NDT Supervisor is responsible for implementing testing protocols, analyzing results, and providing recommendations based on findings. Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and coordinate non-destructive testing activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  2. Develop and implement NDT procedures and protocols to enhance testing accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Train and mentor NDT technicians on best practices and safety procedures.
  4. Review and analyze test results, preparing detailed reports for stakeholders.
  5. Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained according to industry standards.
  6. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to address any quality issues identified during testing.
  7. Conduct regular audits of NDT processes to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  8. Maintain accurate records of testing activities and results for compliance and reporting purposes.
  9. Participate in project meetings to provide insights on NDT-related concerns and solutions.
  10. Stay updated on the latest NDT technologies and methodologies to improve testing processes.

  1. Proven experience in non-destructive testing within the civil engineering sector.
  2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
  5. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  7. Relevant certifications in NDT methods (e.g., RT, UT, MT, PT).
  8. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to NDT.
  9. Proficiency in using NDT equipment and software.
  10. Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
