Provides administrative direction and coordination of all sectionservices. Responsible for the overall organization and administration ofClinical Nutrition Services to assure that nutritional needs of the patientsare met.
1. Plans, organizes, and assures provision of all NutritionServices related patient services in the Hospital.
2. Develops and implements policies and procedures governing allaspects of Nutrition Services.
3. Develops expansions, additions, and modifications to serve asrequired to meet changing patient needs.
4. Recommendsand/ oradministers personnel actions such as promotions, merit increases, disciplinaryactions and resolves staff grievances.
5. Ensures that section operates within allocated funds.
6. Prepares equipment budgets and other forecasts related toNutrition Services.
7. Consults with medical staff regarding section equipmentneeds.
8. Coordinates staff schedules and assignments to meet patientcare and institutional needs.
9. Ensures a high quality of care and services provided to theKFSH&RC (Gen. Org.) patients.
10. Maintains liaison with Medicine and general medical staff,Nursing Services, other department/section Head/Manager, and variouscommittees,as appropriate.
11. Evaluates new equipment andrecommends supplies purchases.
12. Establishes and maintains compliance with policies related tosafety, infection and environmental control.
PhD, Master or, BachelorDegree in Clinical Nutrition from an accredited institution and completion ofDietetic Internship approved by the American Dietetic Association or relatedfield is requires.
Four (4)years of experience as a hospital ClinicalDietitian with PhD, six (6) years with with Master’s or eight (8)years, includingtwo (2) years at a Supervisory/Senior position isrequired.
Current Registrationfrom country of origin and/or Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) isrequired.
