Job description

The Maintenance Head is a crucial role within the retail and wholesale sector, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of maintenance operations within the organization. This position ensures that all facilities and equipment are maintained to the highest standards, contributing to improved customer experiences and increased productivity. The Maintenance Head will lead a team of skilled technicians and supervisors to ensure that all maintenance tasks are executed efficiently and effectively. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and managerial skills to drive maintenance strategies that align with the company’s goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement proactive and corrective maintenance strategies.
  2. Manage and direct the maintenance team to ensure optimal performance and adherence to standards.
  3. Evaluate and analyze equipment performance and provide regular reports to management.
  4. Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  5. Manage the budget allocated for maintenance activities and propose improvements for efficiency.
  6. Identify training and development needs for the maintenance team.
  7. Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations in all maintenance activities.
  8. Engage with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely provision of parts and services.
  9. Provide technical support when needed to resolve complex issues.
  10. Continuously improve maintenance procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management in a retail or wholesale environment.
  2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  3. In-depth knowledge of maintenance systems and modern technologies.
  4. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on available information.
  5. Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  6. Proactive approach to improving operations and increasing efficiency.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and manage crises effectively.
  8. Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
  9. Organizational skills and time management abilities.
  10. Adaptability to rapid changes in the work environment.
