To inspect, monitor, and ensure the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of all lighting systems within the project scope, including street lighting, facility lighting, and related electrical components. The role ensures compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and operational requirements.
Conduct regular inspections of street lighting, outdoor lighting poles, fixtures, panels, and underground cabling.
Monitor maintenance activities and ensure timely repair of lighting faults (lamps, ballasts, breakers, wiring, fuses, etc.).
Verify that all lighting installation works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and international standards.
Identify defects, damages, or non-compliance issues and report findings to the project manager or maintenance supervisor.
Follow up on the contractor’s corrective actions and ensure proper completion of work.
Ensure electrical safety measures are applied during lighting inspections and maintenance works.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports.
Conduct night inspections to evaluate lighting performance and identify dimming or malfunctioning areas.
Supervise lighting maintenance teams as required.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for any related civil/electrical works.
Maintain updated records and documentation of all lighting systems within the project.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
10 years of experience in lighting inspection, preferably in operation and maintenance projects.
Strong knowledge of street lighting systems, LED technologies, control systems, and related electrical components.
Familiarity with international standards (IEC, NEC, or equivalent).
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
Strong reporting and documentation skills.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Experience working with municipal, infrastructure, or O&M projects is preferred.
