Job description

Job Purpose

The Lead Specialist, OT Data Domain is responsible for executing, operationalizing, and sustaining the OT data domain under the direction of the Manager, Data Domain and Products.

The role ensures that Operational Technology (OT) data—including historian, SCADA/DCS, MES, reliability, and sensor data—is consistently defined, governed, validated, and fit for enterprise use. It translates OT domain requirements into implementable data products and ensures OT data is delivered as trusted, reusable assets, not siloed or site‑specific extracts.

This position acts as the day‑to‑day owner of OT domain data initiatives execution, bridging OT operations, data engineering, governance, and platform teams while respecting OT constraints such as latency, site variability, connectivity, and cybersecurity boundaries.

 Key Accountabilities

  1. Execute the OT data domain roadmap, ensuring timely and consistent delivery of domain data products.
  2. Maintain operational ownership of OT domain entities, attributes, and KPIs as defined by domain standards.
  3. Ensure OT data reflects real operational behavior and constraints at plant and site levels.
  4. Support the implementation and sustainment of OT data products, including production operations, equipment reliability, and environmental datasets.
  5. Ensure OT data is correctly mapped and aligned to enterprise entities (assets, locations, work orders, production units).
  6. Ensure OT datasets comply with governance requirements for classification, metadata, lineage, and access.
  7. Support cataloging and documentation of OT data assets so they are discoverable and auditable.
  8. Participate in design and readiness reviews for OT data initiatives, ensuring domain standards are applied.

Minimum Qualification, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline

  • OT/industrial systems background is highly desirable

Minimum Experience

  • 8 to 12 years of experience working with OT, industrial systems, or OT‑adjacent data environments

  • Demonstrated experience handling historian, SCADA/DCS, MES, or sensor data
