The Heavy Equipment Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of heavy mobile equipment and diesel generators through effective maintenance strategies and technical supervision. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, improving equipment performance, and ensuring safe and compliant operations across the site.


Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia


Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults, and supervise corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor equipment performance, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure availability of heavy equipment and diesel generators.
  • Track operating hours and maintenance schedules, and manage spare parts requirements and inventory in coordination with procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and investigate equipment-related incidents.
  • Prepare technical reports, analyze KPIs (Availability, MTBF, MTTR), and utilize CMMS systems for tracking and reporting.
  • Supervise maintenance technicians, assign tasks, and evaluate team performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in mining, cement, silica, or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, diesel generators, and maintenance & reliability practices.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CMMS systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership and team supervision skills with good communication.
  • High level of safety awareness.
