Role Purpose: The Heat Exchanger Technician is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, testing, and maintenance of heat exchangers.
The role ensures that all units meet quality standards, design specifications, and safety requirements in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: Fabricate, assemble, and install heat exchangers according to technical drawings and specifications.
Operate and maintain fabrication equipment such as welding machines, bending machines, and cutting tools.
Conduct inspection and testing of components to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on heat exchanger units.
Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve technical issues during fabrication.
Maintain accurate records of fabrication processes, materials used, and test results.
Follow all company safety policies and ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, API, or relevant standards).
Qualifications & Experience: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years experience in heat exchanger fabrication, pressure vessel, or similar manufacturing .
Hands-on experience with welding (TIG, MIG, SMAW) and metal fabrication.
Knowledge of pressure testing, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), and quality control processes .
Familiarity with fabrication standards such as ASME, API, or equivalent.
Skills & Competencies: Strong mechanical and technical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE compliance in fabrication environments.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues efficiently.
