Job Title - Field Joint Coating Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Field Joint Coating Technician to ensure the operational readiness and
maintenance of coating equipment during project preparation, installation, and execution. The
ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical and electrical systems, be safety-conscious,
and have awareness of coating technologies used in the oil & gas industry. Strong communication
skills and good command of English are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all coating equipment is operational and maintained as per instructions throughout
project stages.
Identify, onboard, and manage all equipment belonging to the Field Joint Coating
department.
Perform electrical inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of coating machinery.
Read basic electrical schematics and analyze mechanical/electrical breakdowns to provide
practical solutions.
Adhere to safety standards, including PPE usage and Lockout- Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Support coating processes including FBE, liquid epoxy, shrink sleeve, and inhibitor
application.
Assist with robotic inspection, thickness measurement, and holiday detection to ensure
defect-free coatings.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, equipment status, and inspection
reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
Accredited qualification or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry or similar industrial environment.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and schematics.
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Awareness of coating technologies is an advantage.
Good English communication skills (verbal and written).
Valid professional/training certifications preferred.
Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
