Responsibilities:
Environmental Compliance & Monitoring:
Support implementation of environmental compliance requirements in line with NCEC regulations, ISO 14001 standards, and company environmental policies
Conduct routine environmental inspections and monitoring activities across operational areas including TSF, process plant, workshops, waste storage areas, and accommodation facilities.
Assist in air quality, noise, wastewater, hazardous waste, and environmental monitoring programs.
Ensure environmental incidents, spills, and non-conformances are reported, investigated, and followed up with corrective actions.
Environmental Reporting & Documentation:
Assist daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly environmental reports and compliance documentation.
Maintain accurate environmental management records, , waste manifests, and monitoring data.
Support preparation of Environmental Statement Reports and other regulatory submissions.
Assist in maintaining and updating the Environmental Management System (EMS) in alignment with ISO 14001 requirements.
Waste & Pollution Control:
Monitor waste segregation, storage, transportation, and disposal activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Support implementation of pollution prevention measures including dust suppression, spill prevention, wastewater management, and housekeeping inspections.
Conduct inspections of contractors and waste disposal activities to ensure environmental compliance.
Environmental Awareness & Training:
Deliver environmental awareness sessions, toolbox talks, and induction training for employees and contractors.
Promote environmental culture initiatives and support sustainability awareness campaigns.
Support departments in understanding environmental procedures, standards, and operational controls.
Operational & Project Support:
Support environmental reviews for operational projects, shutdown activities, and contractor mobilization.
Participate in environmental risk assessments and environmental impact evaluations.
Assist with closure planning activities, rehabilitation monitoring, and environmental improvement initiatives.
Coordinate with operations, maintenance, Mining, logistics, and OHS teams to support environmental compliance objectives.
Audits & Continuous Improvement:
Support internal and external environmental audits and inspections.
Track audit findings and ensure timely close-out of corrective actions.
Identify opportunities for environmental performance improvement and operational efficiency.
Assist in implementation of environmental KPIs and sustainability initiatives.
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
Knowledge of environmental regulations, environmental monitoring, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
Familiarity with mining, industrial, or heavy industry environmental operations is preferred.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
Minimum 2–5 years of environmental experience in mining, industrial, or infrastructure operations.
Experience in environmental inspections, monitoring, and reporting.
Understanding of waste management, wastewater management, air quality, and pollution prevention practices.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and report writing skills in English and Arabic
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and environmental reporting systems.
Ability to work in remote site conditions and interact with multicultural teams.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of Saudi environmental regulations and NCEC requirements is an advantage
