Overview

The Engineering Management Director will lead all engineering management and technical assurance activities across the programme lifecycle, ensuring safe, integrated, and compliant delivery of civil, buildings, rail systems, utilities, and operational infrastructure packages.


Your role
  • Lead the engineering management function across all disciplines and delivery packages.
  • Oversee design review, technical assurance, and engineering governance processes.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable standards, codes, employer requirements, and operational criteria.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design interfaces between civil, track, systems, buildings, utilities, and operational stakeholders.
  • Manage engineering risks, technical queries, design changes, and non-conformance resolution.
  • Support constructability reviews, value engineering initiatives, and operational optimization activities.
  • Monitor engineering progress against programme milestones, schedule commitments, and delivery priorities.
  • Provide strategic technical guidance to programme leadership and client representatives.
About you
  • Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 18 years’ engineering management experience on major infrastructure or rail programmes.
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration and engineering governance.
  • Experience with design management within client-side, consultancy, or contractor environments.
  • Knowledge of international rail standards and Saudi regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership capability.
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional accreditation preferred.
