JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE:
The main job purpose of a security systems engineer is to design, implement, and maintain security systems to protect an organization's digital and physical assets. This involves assessing security requirements, developing security solutions, and integrating them into existing infrastructure. Security systems engineers are responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, recommending, and implementing security measures, and ensuring that systems comply with industry standards and regulations. It also plays a key role in assisting response, help related security project development, troubleshooting security issues, and keeping abreast of the latest security technologies and threats. Ultimately, the goal of a security systems engineer is to safeguard an organization's data, networks, and facilities new related gates project from unauthorized access, breaches, and other security risks.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Organize computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs.
• Review٫ develop and implement security measures for the protection of computer systems٫ networks and information.
• Define system security requirements and prepare reports on your results.
• Review and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
• Create technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
• Perform support and consulting of the company's personnel about security incidents and measures.
• Prepare detailed reports including assessment-based findings٫ outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement.
• Develop and design security systems architecture and specifications based on organizational requirements and industry best practices.
• Deploy, configure, and integrate security technologies such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
• Conduct security assessments, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Ensure that security systems and processes comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Implement and maintain security monitoring tools and processes to detect and respond to security incidents and anomalies.
• Develop and deliver security awareness and to promote security best practices to assist related security projects.
• Develop, review, and update security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the security of information systems and data.
• Evaluate and review existing security architecture and recommend improvements to enhance the overall security posture.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, configurations, and procedures for security systems and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, and communicate effectively with stakeholders on security-related matters.
• Stay abreast of the latest security technologies, trends, and threats, and contribute to the innovation and improvement of security systems and processes within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor of Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3-9 years’ experience related experience or equivalent.
