Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and proactive EHS Specialist to join our team in Dammam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting a safe and sustainable workplace by implementing and overseeing comprehensive Environment, Health, and Safety programs. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with hands-on experience in risk assessments, incident investigations, emergency preparedness, and compliance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and evaluate physical, chemical, and biological hazards in the workplace.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs, including emergency response, hazardous materials handling, and safe work practices.
- Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor emissions and resource usage to ensure compliance with environmental standards and minimize environmental impact.
- Oversee occupational health initiatives, including exposure monitoring and coordinating appropriate health screenings.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios, such as chemical spills, fires, and other potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports of safety inspections, audits, training sessions, and incident records.
- Collaborate closely with management, engineers, and cross-functional departments to foster a strong safety culture across the facility.
Additional Scope & Leadership:
- Identify, initiate, and implement large-scale EHS programs and projects.
- Independently develop plans, business justifications, resource allocations, timelines, and stakeholder communications.
- Design strategies for training and internal communications related to EHS.
- Establish core EHS systems such as compliance, auditing, and incident response.
- Lead investigation teams for major EHS incidents and develop effective response plans.
- Oversee internal or external EHS audits and assessments.
- Represent the company in the development of internal policies and influence external EHS standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Drive environmental impact reduction initiatives both internally and externally.
Skills
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Filipino nationality
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in EHS roles
- Strong command of English (written and verbal)
- Certifications in OSHA or NEBOSH are mandatory
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
