Project Overview:
The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.
The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah - Riyadh highway.
Job Summary:

This position is for a Senior Document Controller supporting the Ar Rjum Operation Village in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and plays a key part in maintaining effective document management practices across the project. 




The Senior Document Controller is responsible for coordinating document workflows, ensuring compliance with established governance procedures, enhancing data accuracy, and supporting the overall document and records management process. This position requires a strong understanding of document control systems and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring timely and accurate documentation flow. 




Major Responsibilities:
  • Provide document and records management services, including receiving, processing, distributing, retrieving, and maintaining documents and/or records in accordance with established policies and procedures. 
  • Perform document and record entry using an enterprise content management system (ECMS).  
  • Assist with quality checks to ensure data entry accuracy. 
  • Interface with internal and external customers to resolve questions and issues related to documents and records.  
  • Assist project team members with inquiries about document numbering, workflows, electronic signatures, and legibility. 
  • Assemble information and create reports for project activities, to support metrics, audits, and self-assessments.  
  • Provide input and update work instructions, plans, and procedures.  
  • Contribute ideas to improve work process efficiency and assist with data migrations when needed. 
  • Attend Subcontractor/Supplier kickoff meetings, if required  
  • Stay informed on the department's available technologies, techniques, and services. 
  • Provide technical guidance and training to project team members on the effective use of automated document management tools.  
  • Perform / Assist in other general Document Management administrative activities, as required  
  • Creates and distributes document processing reports, as requested 
  • May assist with data migrations and post-migration validation efforts 

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience 




  • Experience with document management principles and the ability to use Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), specifically Aconex. 




  • Knowledge of quality issues related to document control, specifically regarding revision control and formatting. 




Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Must have experience performing document management and/or document control processes, obtained within the past 3 years.  
  • Advanced knowledge of ECMS platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex, Unifier) 
  • Understanding of system configuration for numbering, permissions, workflows, and search functions. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate basic to intermediate proficiency using standard office automation tools, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.  
  • Understanding of document lifecycle management (creation, revision, archival, disposal). 
  • Knowledge of quality checks for accuracy, completeness, and procedural compliance. 
  • Ability to identify workflow bottlenecks and propose efficiency improvements. 
  • Capacity to troubleshoot system or process issues related to document handling. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually. 
  • Analytical mindset, able to identify process gaps and drive improvements. 
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work under minimum supervision. 
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize assigned document management tasks  
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and to accuracy.  
  • Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
