  Role Overview The  Director of Data Platforms & Intelligence  is one of the most strategically significant leadership hires at webook.
This role owns and integrates: Data Platforms Analytics & Insights AI Enablement Intelligence Products Commercial Data Monetisation Operational & Executive Decision Intelligence This leader transforms webook’s data into a  revenue-driving, intelligence-generating engine .
What You’ll Own Data Platform Strategy & Architecture Own the end-to-end data platform strategy aligned with product, engineering, and commercial goals Architect scalable batch + streaming pipelines, real-time analytics, ML enablement, and multi-tenant access Build on GCP (BigQuery / ClickHouse, Airflow, DBT, ML Ops) Ensure resilience during extreme traffic spikes and major events Data Reliability & Observability Implement full data observability (freshness, anomalies, schema drift, SLAs/SLOs) Treat data incidents with production-level severity Deliver trusted, always-on data for real-time ops and BI Business Intelligence & Decision Intelligence Lead executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, forecasting, and operational metrics Enable self-service analytics with governed semantic layers Partner with Product, Marketing, Commercial, and Operations on proactive insights Partner & Promoter Intelligence (Core 2026 Monetisation) Design and own data-as-a-product roadmap Build promoter dashboards covering live entry & capacity, forecasting, demand analysis, audience insights, market benchmarks, and queue & throughput intelligence Work with Commercial on pricing, packaging, and go-to-market AI Enablement & Predictive Intelligence Build data foundations for AI and ML models Support recommendation systems, conversational UX, forecasting, and anomaly detection Operationalise models with monitoring and retraining Governance, Security & Compliance Define policies for data access, retention, and protection Ensure PDPL & GDPR compliance in partnership with CISO & DPO Leadership & Organisation Building Lead Data Engineering, Analytics, BI, and Data Operations teams Define org structure, hiring plans, and career ladders Act as a core member of the Technology Leadership Team Essential 15+ years in data engineering, analytics, BI, architecture, or data leadership Proven experience building enterprise-grade data platforms Experience commercialising external data or intelligence products Deep knowledge of modern stacks (GCP, BigQuery/Snowflake/ClickHouse, streaming, BI tools) Strong AI, ML Ops, KPI, and executive reporting expertise Strong understanding of PDPL/GDPR Excellent executive communication and influence Nice to Have Experience in ticketing, events, travel, marketplaces, or entertainment tech Experience with multi-tenant data products Experience delivering market intelligence to enterprise clients Why Join webook?
