JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE:
High standard capacity, commands assigned shift and assumes responsibility for the operation of the Department in Fire & emergency and non-am officers both offshore and onshore.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Respond to emergency calls of all levels and take command to have situations properly mitigated while maintaining the highest priorities of personnel and equipment safety in this order
• Supervise and coordinate shift operations in-line with department’s policies, procedures, and strategies, ensuring safe and efficient daily operations.
• Manage the maximum personnel overall through division of workforce and within the span of control ranges offshore and onshore.
• Maintain good physical performance standing in accordance with the department’s fitness & medical protocols. Promote healthy activities and nutrition, lead by example.
• Perform various administrative tasks as directed by Fire Manager.
• Develop pre-incident plans and reflect awareness to emergency response members.
• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of fire prevention, suppression techniques, and firefighting tactics to ensure the safety of individuals and the protection of IMI property.
• Organize drills and conduct regular training to enhance the skills and knowledge of fire and emergency response personnel.
• Ensure compliance with local and IMI regulations related to fire safety, emergency response, and occupational health and safety.
• Implement strategies planning to enhance emergency response capabilities and protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science Administration/Public Administration or Fire Protection Engineering.
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter I&II
• NFPA 1405 Land-Based Marine Firefighting
• NFPA 472 Hazmat awareness, Operations & Technician
• NFPA 1006 Rope rescue I&II
• NFPA 1006 Confined Space I&II
• NFPA 1002 Pump Operator & Aerial Apparatus
• NFPA 1061 Telecommunicator I
• AREMT Emergency Medical Responder
• NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor I & II
• NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I & II
• Incident Command System (ICS) 300 & 400
• Certified Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting (FPFF) Offshore/Onboard
• Certified Advanced Fire Fighting (AFF) for Offshore/Onboard
• Other relevant Experience certificate
• At least 3 - 6 years of relevant job responsibilities.
