Eram Talent is seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Center Technician to join our team in Saudi Arabia.
Data Center Technician perform 24x7 shifts for Data Centers.
Handle incidents and ensure safety requirements are met.
Monitor environmental, power and server hardware.
Handle cabling tasks for copper and fiber.
Control access into the data centers, ensure work permits and material gate passes are issued.
Install equipment in racks and document changes Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain data center equipment, including servers, storage devices, and networking hardware.
Handle physical setup of devices, including racking servers and running/removing cables (power, network, KVM).
Perform basic OS installation and server configurations (Windows/Linux).
Support hardware break/fix by troubleshooting issues and coordinating with vendors (HP, Dell, SUN, Supermicro).
Monitor Data Center infrastructure: security, HVAC, fire systems, temperature, humidity, and power.
Ensure Data Center security and supervise all visitors.
Perform cabling work (copper & fiber) according to TIA-942 standards.
Prepare end-of-shift reports and follow SOPs.
Work flexible shifts, including nights/weekends, and handle on-call duties.
Coordinate preventive maintenance with facility and IT teams.
Qualifications: BS or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in Data Centers.
Strong basic understanding of data center infrastructure (electrical, mechanical, cooling, UPS, etc.
). Hands-on experience with server hardware, cabling, and troubleshooting.
Good knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure (Electrical/Mechanical concepts APC infrastructure experience is preferred.
Familiarity with Windows/Linux servers for basic configuration and installation.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotation.
