The Creative Art Instructor at Miraval The Red Sea leads immersive, expressive art experiences that invite guests to explore creativity as a path to mindfulness, self-awareness, and emotional balance.


This role combines artistic expertise with mindful facilitation, ensuring every session aligns with Miraval’s philosophy of intentional living, emotional exploration, and transformation. The Creative Art Instructor also contributes to programming innovation, collaborates across wellness disciplines, and supports operational excellence within the Serenity Center.


Key Responsibilities:


Creative Facilitation & Guest Engagement:


  • Lead private and group workshops in various creative disciplines such as painting, sculpting, journaling or/and traditional crafts.
  • Support guests in using art as a tool for self-expression, stress reduction, and mindful reflection.
  • Offer personalized guidance and adaptive instruction to meet the artistic and emotional needs of each guest, regardless of skill level.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where guests feel free to explore creativity without judgment.
  • Encourage intuitive exploration and provide thoughtful support during each stage of the creative process.

Program Design & Integration:


  • Design and deliver signature art programs that incorporate mindfulness, emotional well-being, and personal growth themes.
  • Collaborate with wellness practitioners to integrate art into multi-disciplinary programs, wellness retreats, and transformational workshops.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in art therapy, creative wellness, and expressive arts, evolving the art menu accordingly.
  • Organize seasonal events, theme-based creative experiences, and community-based art projects.

Operational Excellence & Safety:


  • Maintain an organized, clean, and inspiring art studio that meets Miraval’s standards of wellness and hospitality.
  • Ensure the safe handling, storage, and maintenance of all art materials and tools.
  • Monitor supply levels and manage inventory proactively to support uninterrupted program flow.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and cultural sensitivity protocols in line with Saudi Arabia’s hospitality and wellness regulations.
  • Record and monitor attendance, manage bookings, and ensure guest experience data is accurately tracked.

Spa & Wellness Integration:


·Collaborate with the Spa, Fitness, and Wellness teams to design and deliver integrated wellness programs that incorporate creative expression in support of Miraval’s holistic guest journey.


·Contribute customized artistic elements to enhance existing offerings, including guided reflection sessions, journaling, or creative workshops that align with the resort’s philosophy.


·Ensure all collaborative programming is delivered with consistency, purpose, and in alignment with Miraval’s service standards and guest expectations.


Professional Development, Innovation & Guest Experience:


  • Participate in Miraval training programs, workshops, and cross-disciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Serenity Center’s offerings by proposing innovative, relevant, and emotionally resonant art experiences.
  • Support guest satisfaction by creating thoughtful moments of connection, discovery, and reflection through your facilitation.
  • Engage in guest feedback and continuously refine delivery to enhance the quality and depth of the experience.

Revenue Generation & Brand Promotion:


  • Mindfully recommend and promote paid private art sessions, exclusive workshops, and Miraval-branded art kits or retail products.
  • Support spa and wellness revenue goals by encouraging participation in complementary experiences.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts through content creation, articles, and artistic contributions to promotional materials.
  • Help drive positive guest reviews by delivering memorable, meaningful, and elevated art sessions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or formal certification in Fine Arts, Art Therapy, Creative Arts, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience facilitating art-based workshops or classes in a luxury resort, retreat center, or artistic wellness setting.
  • Strong understanding of mindfulness practices, creative expression techniques, and emotional well-being principles.
  • Experience working with a variety of guest demographics, including beginners and advanced creatives.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
