Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to oversee and execute testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for medium to large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with process and utility systems, stationary and rotating equipment, and pipelines, particularly in the Oil & Gas sector.




Work Activities:



  • Conduct testing and commissioning activities per site requirements.



  • Assist the Commissioning Lead Engineer with planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting.



  • Monitor, record, and witness all test results; compile documentation for inclusion in respective dossiers.



  • Ensure safe testing and commissioning of installations to achieve required plant performance.



  • Lead and coordinate a multi-discipline commissioning team on-site.



  • Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, and Client Operations teams.



  • Manage walk-downs and Punch Lists for systems/sub-systems; update and forward data to CMS Admin/Coordinator.



  • Ensure technicians perform work safely following site procedures and PTW system.



  • Coordinate and execute functional, performance, and acceptance tests during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up stages.



  • Ensure all documentation and resources are available for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.



  • Coordinate Certifying Authority witnessing on-site.



  • Provide technical support to Operations during start-up, stabilization, and performance testing.



  • Supervise the commissioning team to meet deadlines and maintain technical integrity.



  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.



  • Coordinate activities with other departments and staff.



  • Perform other duties as assigned.




Requirements

Qualifications



  • Graduate in Engineering from a reputed university.



  • Minimum 10 years' experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project completion of medium to large-scale projects.



  • Experience with Completion Management Systems (CMS) like WinPCS is desirable.



  • Formal certification in Project Commissioning is a plus.



  • Proficient in computer applications, engineering software, and project management tools.




Skills / Competencies



  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving ability.



  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented.



  • Multidisciplinary knowledge in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project completion.



  • Experience in commissioning and start-up of process and utility systems, stationary and rotating equipment, and gas & oil pipelines.



  • Operations and maintenance of production facilities.



  • Report writing, procedure documentation, and method statement preparation.



  • Expert in reading/interpreting P&IDs, piping isometrics, and production flow diagrams.



  • Knowledge of Permit to Work system, occupational hazards, standard safety procedures, and safe work practices.



  • Practical knowledge in millwright, piping, and workshop operations.
