Summary for the Role The Commercial Manager will lead all commercial, contractual, and cost management functions for a major high-rise project in Mecca.
This role ensures effective contract administration, oversees procurement strategies, manages cost control processes, and mitigates commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
The Commercial Manager will work in close coordination with project leadership, contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders to ensure commercial integrity, transparency, and adherence to contractual obligations within a PMC consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead all commercial and contractual activities throughout the project lifecycle in compliance with PMC best practices.
Manage procurement strategies, tendering processes, bid evaluations, negotiation, and contract award.
Oversee contract administration, including claims management, variations, commercial evaluations, and dispute resolution.
Ensure robust cost management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, and value engineering assessments.
Monitor contractor performance to verify alignment with contractual and financial obligations.
Prepare regular commercial reports, dashboards, and financial summaries for senior management and client representatives.
Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect the project’s financial and contractual interests.
Ensure all commercial activities adhere to legal standards, industry regulations, and organizational policies.
Coordinate and interface with multidisciplinary teams to ensure commercial impacts are considered in all project decisions.
Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
Relevant RICS certification is required.
Demonstrated expertise in commercial management on major construction projects.
Minimum 15 years of experience with proven delivery in high-rise tower projects .
Mandatory experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia .
Prior experience working in a PMC consulting environment is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of contract forms, claims management, cost control, and procurement strategies.
Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation skills.
