The Assistant IT Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end functional areas of the IT Department, including infrastructure and solutions development, implementation and management of hardware, software, networks, and other IT support required by the business. The role ensures that IT systems, applications, infrastructure, and support services are effectively managed to meet business needs. Responsibilities: Manage and enhance ERP systems and business applications. Document business processes and configure improvements. Oversee hardware, networks, servers, and system performance. Install, configure, and maintain devices and software. Ensure reliable connectivity and stable server operations. Provide daily IT operational support and resolve user issues. Log incidents and prepare support reports. Deliver basic IT training for tools, systems and applications. Implement essential security measures and monitor threats. Identify and mitigate IT-related operational risks. Maintain risk registers and escalate critical issues. Develop and communicate IT policies and SOPs. Ensure compliance and drive process improvements. Maintain IT asset inventory, warranties, and vendor coordination. Plan and execute IT projects aligned with business needs. Define milestones and monitor progress. Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Requirements Educational Qualification / Professional Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Management. Certification in Network Management & Application Development. Professional Experience Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in IT, including at least 2–3 years in supervisor/managerial role. Other Qualifications Well versed in computer operations. Competencies Strong communication skills. Able to develop pragmatic solutions. Problem solving aptitude. Customer service-oriented approach. Result oriented.
