The Assistant Farm Manager is responsible for supporting the successful operations of the farming unit through close supervision of daily work performance, providing guidance and advice to employees, and ensuring that farm activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. The role supports the Farm Manager in overseeing farming operations, ensuring alignment with farming strategies, maintaining operational efficiency, monitoring quality and safety standards, and ensuring that crops are produced according to the required standards. The position is based in Al Kharj and involves managing daily coordination across farming-related functions including irrigation, crops management, workshop operations, and store activities. The role also requires working closely with internal departments, suppliers, service providers, and relevant government agencies to ensure smooth farm operations. Responsibilities: Ensure the available manpower is fully trained, developed, and motivated to perform at their full potential to achieve operational efficiencies. Ensure the operational initiatives are aligned with the Farming strategies and the business unit is operated in the most cost-effective manner with high efficiency. Ensure the farm machinery, tractors, trailers, and other tools required in different crops growth stages are fully operational and efficient. Ensure the health and safety standards are met in all farm activities to provide a safe working environment for the employees. Ensure the set quality standards are followed and adhered to while managing various farm activities. Ensure the policies and standard operating procedures to manage the farm operations are followed and adhered to by the employees. Ensure the crops produced are of high-quality standard through close and continuous monitoring of the various stages of cultivation, irrigation, and harvesting. Requirements Educational Qualification / Professional Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Certification in Agriculture or Horticulture Business Management. Professional Experience Minimum 7 years of experience in managing agriculture or horticulture-based farming operations in a medium-sized organization. Minimum 3 years of experience in Food Industry. Other Qualifications Well versed with computer operations. Driving License. Competencies People Management – able to manage multinational workforce. Knowledge of International Food Quality and Safety standards. Sound knowledge of budgeting and managing operations. Excellent communication skills. Planning and organizing skills. Business acumen.
