Job description

Job Summary:

The Architectural Technical Engineer (Project Office) is responsible for the technical coordination of architectural works, ensuring that design intent is translated into accurate shop drawings and site execution. This role focuses on preparing and reviewing detailed drawings, coordinating with other disciplines, resolving design-related issues, and supporting site teams with clear and constructible technical solutions. The position plays a critical role in bridging design and construction for successful delivery of architectural packages.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in technical design, coordination, or site-based architectural support.
  • Experience in shop drawing development, clash resolution, and detail coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, finishes, and architectural detailing.
  • Familiar with Saudi codes and authority submission requirements (e.g. MOMRA, Civil Defense).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review architectural shop drawings, builder’s work drawings, and coordination layouts.
  • Ensure all drawings are technically sound and aligned with design intent and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with MEP, structural, and civil teams to identify and resolve design clashes.
  • Provide technical support to site engineers during execution of architectural works.
  • Review subcontractor submittals and ensure technical compliance with approved IFC drawings.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Assist in value engineering proposals, detail optimization, and constructability solutions.
  • Maintain drawing registers and ensure timely submission and approval of technical documents.
  • Support QA/QC and site teams in resolving drawing-related site queries (RFIs).
  • Collaborate with the Technical Office Manager and report design-related risks or changes.
