Bring your energy to Aggreko as Applications Engineer - Power based in Riyadh
 


You will be responsible for preparation of project-specific designs and supporting technical documentation for inclusion in sales bids, detailed design phases, and operational projects. Coordinate engineering input across the team and provide expert technical support across project stakeholders.


What you’ll do as Applications Engineer - Power:


  • Liaise with client’s technical staff and visit potential job sites, as required, to verify projectneeds.


  • Advise Sales team on project specific design issues and propose engineeringsolutions.


  • Design power/ temperature control packages to suit project needs and maximize use of Aggreko fleetproducts.


  • Design the specification of specialist mechanical equipment in conjunction withMEEngineeringteam.


  • Prepare professional drawings for ME Engineering, such as 3-Dimensional Drawings (3D) & construction diagrams, schematics, Piping and Instrument Drawings (PID), Single line diagram and Site Layouts.


  • Perform HVAC heat load calculations, equipment sizing, pressure drop & flow calculations.


  • Ensure design complies with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, ANSI, ASME, IEC, localregulations)


  • Prepare project for construction mechanical/piping bill of materials and engineering documents to meet specific job requirements.


  • Gives engineering assistance as required to OperationalProjects.


  • Collaborate with Engineering Team on design support requirements for the complete project life cycle.

You are:


  • Minimum of 5 years design experience in a MEP – HVAC / Power Generation/ Oil & Gas Industry


  • Fluent in English, a second language would be an advantage


  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


  • Strong computer design skills.


  • Proficient in using Autocad


  • Experience in Mechanical tools/software such as HAP, Inventor/ SolidWorks


  • Customer Focus - understands the importance of customer needs, whether internal or external, focuses on responding to them and develops relationships.


  • Working together with others – relates to people, engages and builds relationships.


  • Require travel to project locations for site visits and client meetings
