Job description

About Noon Academy:

We’re on a mission to radically change the way students learn. Westarted with a simple idea—access to the best teachers shouldn’t be a luxury, and learning should energize, not drain you. We believe in solving hard problems, and we play to win—we measure progress by revenues, students, and learning gains. Our approach? Build high-performing teams, giving them the freedom to dream big and execute boldly.

Today, we’re building the next generation of schools in Saudi Arabia. We believe every student deserves world-class teachers. And to make it happen, we’re reimagining everything about education: from cutting-edge tech to peer learning and physical spaces that spark curiosity. The verdict is clear: students don't just tolerate hybrid, they love it.

We’re aiming for an IPO, and the product you’ll build is core to getting us there. The scale is real. We expanded to 28 schools in our second year of operations, and we're expanding to 100+ schools around the Kingdom in the near future.

Why This Role Matters?

Running great schools at scale is an unsolved problem. Timetables, staffing, student success, operational workflows, quality loops. It's a web of complexity that no off-the-shelf software can handle. So we're building our own.

We call it the Ops OS — an intelligent, event-driven system that makes schools work and scale. Think of it as the nervous system of a school network: routing the right information to the right person at the right time. We're looking for AI Systems Engineers who want to build things that matter

Role Summary

This isn't a typical AI/ML role. You won't be training models in isolation or writing research papers. You'll be embedded in the real world. Talking to students, school staff and internal leaders. You’ll be understanding messy operational problems, and shipping working systems that people rely on every single day.

You'll use AI as a power tool alongside strong product engineering skills to build internal apps, data pipelines, dashboards, and intelligent workflows.

What You'll Do

  • Investigate real problems — sit with ops teams and school leads to deeply understand what's broken before writing a line of code.

  • Build fast — go from messy problem → spec → working prototype in days, not months. We use Claude Code, Cursor, Replit, and every AI tool that makes us faster.

  • Ship products, not scripts — build real, production-quality tools with great UX (React/TypeScript, Supabase, APIs). Our users are internal Nooners, students, teachers, and school staff. Each user deserves thoughtful designs!

  • Design systems that compound — think in loops, not features. Data → insight → action → feedback → better data.

  • Own your domain end-to-end — from problem discovery to adoption. If nobody uses it, we haven't succeeded.

What We're Looking For

  • You think before you build. You can explain a problem to a non-technical person in 30 seconds.

  • You're fast. Ruthlessly good at scoping: 80% of the impact with 20% of the effort.

  • You're strong in data & SQL, AI/LLMs, and product engineering.

  • You’re eager to learn and adopt new tools and ways of working.

  • You build things that work, not things that look impressive on a slide.

  • You communicate clearly — in writing, in demos, in Slack. No jargon.

  • You don't wait to be told. You find the problem, propose the solution, and drive it.

  • Fluent in Arabic and English

  • Based in Riyadh (or able to relocate by an agreed date)

Bonus Points

  • Experience with event-driven architectures or operational systems.

  • You've built internal tools or ops platforms before.

  • You've used AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) to move 5x faster and ship real products.

Why Noon?

  • Real impact — your work directly affects how thousands of students learn every day.

  • Speed and autonomy — small team, big problems, zero bureaucracy.

  • AI-native culture — we don't just talk about AI, we build with it daily.

  • Well-funded — Series B closed, substantial recurring revenue, and accelerating.

  • Mission that matters — every student deserves world-class teachers. We're making it happen.

Benefits

In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer:

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)

  • Performance-based bonus

  • 21 days of annual leave

  • Full premium Medical coverage, including Family Dependent

If you're a builder who wants to solve hard problems in education and create something students talk about for years to come, we would love to talk to you.
