Could you be the full-time Product Introduction Troubleshooter Technician in Bucharest, Romania we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your troubleshooting expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic, adaptable, and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the seamless introduction of our Rolling Stock material by performing troubleshooting activities during the product introduction period. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Engineering, Operations, and Customer Support), ensure compliance with safety and security standards, and contribute to technical investigations, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of troubleshooting and fleet check activities, but also support field modifications and provide recommendations for preventative and corrective actions.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Carrying out troubleshooting during the Product Introduction period as well as during Pre-warranty, Commissioning, and Validation & Certification (if applicable)
  • Performing fleet check activities
  • Reporting and registering any deviations (failures/events) in the Failure Management database, including configuration data
  • Supporting the operation helpdesk
  • Applying and enforcing Alstom and customer EHS and security rules and relevant Product Introduction processes on customer sites
  • Executing test and troubleshooting procedures to evaluate system performance and performing failure analysis on parts to be returned for repair
  • Supporting the implementation of field modifications (FM operator), if required
  • Contributing to specific technical investigations by Engineering or internal/external suppliers
  • Recommending preventative and corrective actions
  • Instructing and directing operators in field modification and repairs, if needed
  • Advising Product Introduction management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product enhancements
  • Ensuring good information flow about interventions and operations within troubleshooting to support shift transitions, if needed
  • Leading the Troubleshooter team, if required
  • Conducting peer reviews of Product Introduction activities and providing technical leadership, if requested
  • Contributing to Return of Experience initiatives

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • University degree in engineering
  • Technical troubleshooting, investigation, and testing experience (mechanical or electrical/electronic)
  • Field experience (10+ years for a senior position)
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards
  • Familiarity with product knowledge related to Rolling Stock
  • Proficiency in English
