Technician will be responsible for providing discipline support to Production operations in troubleshooting plant reliability and failures on Electrical equipment as well as Basic Care activities as per Operations routines. Technician will carry out scheduled routine preventative and corrective maintenance on all assigned electrical equipment, under the supervision of the discipline/Campaign Supervisor, in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner to achieve targets and minimise impact on plant Operations.
Experience in the installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of wide variety of electrical equipment such as: transformers, switchgears, motors, motor control centers, generators, protection relay calibration, lighting systems, batteries, chargers, inverters and variable speed drive in the oil and gas industry.
Working knowledge of Electrical Safety Rules, and authorised competency for LV operations
Should have ability to read electrical power, single line and control schematic drawings.
Should have a good knowledge of safety practices relating to the Oil &Gas/Petrochemical industry.
Should have a good knowledge of safety practices relating to the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry.
Good knowledge of English, in both written and spoken.
Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office and SAP CMMS
A minimum of Ten (10) years of relevant experience in oil and gas/petrochemical industry.
