Primary Purpose of the Job

QatarEnergy Trading is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Contract Officer to join our growing LNG Trading team. This pivotal role involves negotiating, analyzing, preparing, and revising LNG contracts and service agreements, while ensuring robust documentation management and compliance with legal and commercial standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and manage LNG contracts (MSPAs, CNs, service agreements) in coordination with traders and commercial teams.
  • Support contract negotiations and manage amendments, ensuring alignment with legal and commercial standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all contractual agreements.
  • Identify and escalate negotiation issues, collaborating with internal stakeholders for resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies in all contract-related matters.

Required Experience and Skills
  • 8 years of experience in contract management, with at least 3 years in LNG Trading.
  • Strong understanding of LNG physical and derivative transactions.
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced trading environment.

Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, Business Administration, or equivalent. Postgraduate qualifications (MBA/MSc) preferred.
