The Senior Environmental Engineer is responsible in the processes that seek to control environmental entities in orientation to a plan or idea. This position is responsible for overseeing the environmental performance of the organization and for developing, implementing and monitoring environmental strategies that promote sustainable development.
Develop and implement environmental management plans and strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and feasibility studies for proposed projects to evaluate potential risks and impacts.
Monitor air, water, and soil quality, and oversee pollution control measures to mitigate environmental impacts.
Design and implement remediation and restoration projects for contaminated sites, ensuring proper cleanup and rehabilitation.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders on environmental matters.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders to address environmental concerns and ensure regulatory compliance.
Conduct environmental audits and inspections to assess compliance with environmental regulations and Company policies.
Develop and deliver environmental training programs for employees to raise awareness and promote environmental stewardship.
Stay updated on emerging environmental trends, regulations, and technologies to recommend innovative solutions and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning, design, and operations.
Comprehensive understanding of environmental regulations, policies, and standards.
Proficiency in environmental assessment techniques, such as EIAs and pollution control methods.
Strong analytical skills to interpret environmental data and identify potential risks or impacts.
Project management abilities to oversee remediation projects and ensure compliance with timelines and budgets.
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills to collaborate with internal teams, regulators, and community stakeholders.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
