Position Summary:


The Sales Engineer role is responsible for driving sustainable sales growth and expanding market presence across Qatar. This position combines technical expertise with consultative selling to deliver pressure management solutions that meet customer operational, safety, and commercial requirements. Acting as a key link between customer needs and Emerson’s portfolio, the role supports long‑term customer partnerships while ensuring solutions are technically sound and commercially viable.


In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:


  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across industries including Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Power Generation, Cement, Steel, and Paper.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including engineering, operations, maintenance, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Understand customer challenges and recommend appropriate pressure management products, services, and solutions.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification and quotation through order placement and post‑sale support.
  • Collaborate with application engineering, manufacturing, and internal sales teams to develop optimal technical and commercial solutions.
  • Conduct site visits, technical surveys, and audits to accurately assess customer requirements.
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals to support customer decision‑making.
  • Lead commercial and contractual discussions in alignment with Emerson policies and local regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasts within the CRM system.
  • Work in accordance with Emerson’s ethics, safety, and compliance standards while actively supporting a strong health and safety culture.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

For This Role, You Will Need:


  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Have minimum of 7 years’ experience in technical sales, application engineering, or field service related to pressure regulators, safety valves, control valves, or similar industrial products. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Willingness to travel within Qatar to support customer meetings and site activities.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:


  • Experience supporting customers in heavy or process industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Power Generation, Cement, or Metals.
  • Familiarity with the Qatari industrial market, including local business practices and customer expectations.
  • Confidence presenting technical solutions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
