Job description

NES is working with its chemical client to hire Rotating Equipment Technicians for its Maintenance department.  
Some of the key responsibilities: 
  • To perform corrective maintenance on rotating equipment and systems within the plant i.e. diagnoes and repair any malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques to minimise downtime
  • Execute preventive maintenance and change requests on rotating equipment and systems, regular inspections, cleaning, and servicing to prevent potential failures ensuring equipment’s availability and reliability
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams and contractors to execute maintenance activities adhering to regulations and procedures to execute maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Materials division to ensure the availability of inventory materials to uphold the operational reliability of rotating equipment.
  • Document maintenance activities performed and equipment condition, capturing all the findings and comprehensive history of the plant’s rotating equipment health and maintenance history.
  • Report any significant issues encountered during the maintenance activities, incidents, near misses, and safety concerns promptly to Rotating Supervisor.
  • Utilise SAP maintenance system to verify material availability and make reservations necessary for the maintenance of specific equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • MUST HAVE CONDITION MONITORING EXPERIENCE LEVEL 3 CERTIFIED
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance at an oil and gas or petrochemical company.
