Job DescriptionOverview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of mission-critical data centre projects on behalf of a leading engineering consultancy. The role requires end-to-end project leadership, stakeholder management, authority coordination, contractor oversight, and successful delivery of complex data centre facilities within budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.


Your role
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data centre projects from design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Act as the primary client interface, providing strategic guidance and regular project status updates.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams, including design consultants, contractors, and specialist vendors.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, resource planning, risk registers, and mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and obtain necessary approvals and permits.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and monitor contractor performance, construction progress, quality control, and site safety.
  • Lead project meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate key project milestones and risks to stakeholders.
  • Manage commissioning activities and ensure operational readiness of mission-critical systems.
  • Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, ICT, and security disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project risks, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
  • Support procurement processes, contract administration, claims management, and change control procedures.
  • Ensure effective stakeholder engagement with clients, authorities, contractors, utility providers, and end users.
  • Drive best practices in project management, governance, reporting, and quality assurance.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to business growth through client relationship management and project development initiatives.
About you
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering[ Civil / Electrical.
  • Construction Management or equivalent PMP.
  • Data Center Experience [ at least 1 project is delivered in the last 5 years] Mandatory chartership or equivalent preferred. UPDA/MMUP Grade A in PM.
  • 15 - 20 years Minimum Experience.
  • Leadership of complex building, infrastructure, mission-critical or data centre projects.
  • Qatar delivery, stakeholder coordination; authority interfaces; contractor management; programme, risk, reporting and CLIENT-facing leadership.
