Key Responsibilities:


  • Planning of man hour budgets, schedules, manpower loadings and staffing requirements, by skill and experience, to satisfy project requirements and direction given by the Discipline Manager.
  • Ensures the project work is covered for vacation and unplanned absences.
  • Mentors/trains and supports the delivery of training.
  • Assists in the employee performance review process.
  • Facilitates coverage of activities when people leave the team.
  • Encourages knowledge of and compliance with requirements and processes.
  • Works to resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and customer issues.
  • Ensures discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements
  • Supervise/provide the planning function during design and/or construction stages of assigned project/projects.
  • Liaise with clients to clarify cost related issues and provide timely inputs for preparation of monthly invoices.
  • Put activities in schedules, assign resources, identify critical paths, and do analysis on how long it will take to accomplish the project.
  • Implement effective progress measurements and progress reporting for engineering, procurement and construction in accordance with EMS guideline

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:


  • Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
  • Certification by PMI (PMP) and/or AACE or similar accredited project management institute.

IT Skills:


  • Must be proficient in Enterprise Primavera (P7, P6.2) Portfolio Management and Primavera Contract Management to advanced level, MS project, and Pertmaster 8 based risk analysis.
  • Certification in Enterprise primavera Portfolio and Contract Management would be an asset.

Industry Specific Experience:


  • Must have Vast planning/cost control experience within the oil and gas industry for an offshore/onshore projects.
  • Must have extensive experience in project planning and scheduling, TIC & services cost management, earned value & risk analysis, cash flows, invoice, performance measurement, and milestones & project auditing.
