Responsibilities
  • Manage electrical engineering services that meet Worley', its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Manage electrical engineering project requirements.
  • Manage electrical engineering services such as: 
    • participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and comply with required checking procedures;
    • ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;
    • provide advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities.  For example, oversee requisitions, technical bid evaluations and purchase order preparation.
  • Act as the electrical engineering Lead on specific projects.
  • If responsible for a team:
    • outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress; and
    • ensure the required services meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget. 
  • Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer's requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering.
  • If required, assist and support junior personnel within the electrical engineering team.
  • Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

Quality Assurance


  • Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of Quality Assurance systems.


Safety


  • Responsible for personal safety safe, safe working practices. Understand and follow OH & S procedures promoting health, safety and environmental awareness.

  • Maintain HSE focus with the team to ensure OHSE requirements.
  • Demonstrate business practices commensurate with a culture of world’s best health, safety and environmental performance.
  • Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to:
    • personal well-being;
    • healthy and safe workplaces and activities; and
    • Continuously improve Worley health, safety and environmental performance.
    • Identify and report work hazards and incidents.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:


  • Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage

Industry Specific Experience:


  • Must have vast experience in Electrical design and engineering of oil & gas / large industrial projects in Onshore projects.
  • Experience in brown fields & asset services type project / contracts.
  • Experience in MV cable sizing based on IEC60287 using CYMECAP will be an added advantage.
  • Qatar project experience with knowledge of Kahramaa standards is preferred.
    • 132kV GIS substation design
    • 132kV, 33kV Cable sizing calculation
    • 16MW to 20MW compressor motor
    • Power System Study.
    • Unit and non-unit protection setting.
    • HV/LV Equipment Specification, Data Sheet.
    • MR/TBE.
    • Vendor Drawing Review.
    • Sound Report Writing skills.
    • Prepare Design Basis Memorandum for the project.
    • Feasibility and Concept Optimalization Study, Pre-FEED, FEED, Detail Engineering Design.
