Nord Anglia International School Al Khor is looking to appoint an outstanding Operations Assistant to join a well-established, supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.


About our school


Nord Anglia International School Al Khor (NAISAK) is a 3-18 through school with more than 1350+ pupils currently on roll. Our school resides in the town of Al Khor, 25 minutes north of Doha (the capital of Qatar). We educate both local and expat students through a bespoke and engaging Primary curriculum which draws on the English National Curriculum as well as Qatar’s Ministry of Education curriculum.


About the role


The Operations Assistant will support the daily operational functions of the international school, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of administrative, health and safety, policy implementation, and transport coordination activities. The role involves preparing and maintaining operational documents, developing and updating policies and SOPs, coordinating transportation logistics, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in the preparation, review, and updating of operational documents and reports.
  • Support the development, implementation, and review of school policies, including health and safety policies.
  • Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to school operations and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate transportation services, including scheduling, liaising with transport providers, and ensuring safety compliance.
  • Support in the organization of health and safety drills, inspections, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain records of operational activities and ensure documentation is up-to-date and accurate.

Skills and Competencies


Minimum Qualification Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality, Science or Commerce
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Additional Desirable Attributes:


  • Experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
  • Prior experience (1-3 years) in school operations, facilities management, or a similar environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and policies applicable to educational institutions.
  • Familiarity with policy development, SOP writing, and document preparation.
  • Knowledge of local transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Understanding of compliance standards for health, safety, and operational policies.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
