Job description

  • You will be tasked with conducting various tests and experiments to evaluate the functionality and durability of mechanical systems. This involves setting up test equipment, collecting data, and analyzing results to identify areas for improvement.
  • You will play a crucial role in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical system issues, utilizing a range of tools and equipment to identify and implement solutions, always prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Your core responsibility as a Mechanical Engineering Technician will be to assist engineers in the design and enhancement of mechanical systems and products. This includes conducting feasibility studies, analyzing design specifications, and offering valuable insights into material choices.
  • You'll also be responsible for assisting in the documentation and reporting of project progress, ensuring the meticulous maintenance of records, and steadfastly adhering to established engineering standards and procedures, thus ensuring the successful completion of mechanical engineering projects.

Skills

  • Knowledge of Mechanical Systems: Understanding various mechanical systems, including hydraulics and HVAC.
  • Tool Proficiency: Ability to use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Electrical Skills: Familiarity with electrical circuits, wiring, and controls.
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory.
  • Understanding of Safety Protocols: Knowledge of safety procedures for handling machinery and tools.
