Title: Manager – FTP ControlLocation: Doha, Qatar
About the CompanyOur client is a leading bank in the region with a mandate to hire a specialist Manager – FTP Control within their Group Finance division. This is a high-ownership, technically demanding role sitting at the intersection of Treasury, Finance, and Risk — responsible for the end-to-end management of the bank’s Funds Transfer Pricing framework and system. The role plays a critical part in pricing discipline, profitability analysis, and ALCO decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the end-to-end FTP process, ensuring full adherence to the bank’s approved FTP Policy and governance frameworkAct as business owner of the FTP system, including system configuration, curve construction, product mapping, and parameter maintenanceCoordinate with IT, vendors, and external consultants to implement system enhancements and ensure data integrityManage the monthly FTP production run end-to-end — ensuring timely execution, accuracy, and robust reconciliations and controlsProvide FTP insights and analysis to ALCO, Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Business teams to support pricing and balance sheet decisionsPartner with business units to explain FTP impacts on product and customer profitabilityAct as the key point of contact for Internal Audit, External Audit, and Regulators on all FTP-related mattersPeriodically review and recommend enhancements to the FTP methodology to reflect changes in balance sheet structure, market conditions, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
* 5–6 years of relevant experience in banking with strong exposure to Funds Transfer Pricing, ALM, Treasury, or Balance Sheet Management* Hands-on experience with FTP systems and methodologies (system configuration, curve construction, product mapping)* Strong understanding of interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and funding economics* Experience engaging with ALCO, Internal Audit, External Audit, and/or Regulators on FTP matters* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline* Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership in a structured environment
Position open to international candidates. Role requires Relocation to Doha, Qatar
