The Lead Technical Engineer performs design management of various types of projects residential commercial, warehouse/industrial buildings. Reviews the Mechanical design of projects. Initiates value engineering exercises and identifies potential issues/constraints in design and construction during the early stages of design. Checks appropriateness of Mechanical systems and correctness of design criteria proposed by consultants. Provides direction to consultants to ensure complete submission of Mechanical deliverables within project schedule. Performs the task of managing the documentation of the Mechanical drawings in coordination with electrical, ELV, architectural and structural Works.
Lead the design and review of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, irrigation, STPs, elevators, escalators, and piping systems.
Ensure all designs meet local regulations, codes, and project requirements.
Prepare, review, and approve mechanical schematics, specifications, reports, and As-Built drawings.
Work with other engineering teams to integrate mechanical systems into project designs.
Guide and mentor junior engineers, resolving complex technical issues.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure requirements are met.
Review and approve vendor submittals, ensuring equipment meets quality and cost criteria.
Conduct safety assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Support system commissioning, resolve issues, and provide performance reports.
Stay updated with industry trends and recommend efficiency-driven design improvements.
Advanced proficiency in CAD software and other design tools for drafting and creating technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
Extensive knowledge of architectural and engineering principles to effectively coordinate technical aspects of projects and resolve design challenges.
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and quality assurance throughout the design process.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, oversee technical coordination efforts, and align project objectives.
Problem-solving abilities to anticipate and address technical issues, optimize project outcomes, and contribute to the successful delivery of design projects.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus.
