What You Will Do:
Raytheon Field Engineering is seeking an experienced Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Facilities Engineer to join our team in Supporting Operations, Maintenance, and Integration of the Qatar Early Warning Radar (QEWR). The selected candidate will be responsible for the HVAC Facilities Maintenance of the Radar facility. They will serve as the lead technical point of contact for customer operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques. The HVAC Facilities Engineer may integrate, and test mechanical-focused hardware, conduct mechanical analyses, and consistent coordination and communication across teams in order to ensure successful HVAC hardware performance. This role may also include leading teams or sub-contractors in the completion of above tasks. Responsible for performing Preventive Maintenance Checks Services (PMCS), troubleshoot and repair of HVAC support EWR systems. Coordinates PMCS and repair execution activities to the Lead. Provides inputs to development of operational reports. Creating a maintenance plan and entering non-conformance into Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO). Establishes maintenance and repair schedules based on equipment schedules and availability of parts, tools, personnel, and unit mission. Establishes internal administrative procedures to procure, store, and issue publications, tools, parts, and POL. Manages maintenance float items to replace equipment not repairable within prescribed time limits. Other duties will include movement of materials and equipment to work locations, work site set up, completion of records, and maintaining accountability of tools and equipment. The HVAC Technician must observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing of required personal safety equipment.
Candidates for this position will be on a Long-Term International Assignment (LTIA) in Qatar.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Must have successfully completed an HVAC course of instruction from a recognized technical institute or approved apprenticeship program.
EPA Section 608 Certification
HVAC Excellence Certification
Experience substantiating technical concepts with engineering documentation
Communicating problems with other specialists and recommending potential solutions
2+ years of experience in the HVAC engineering field, development, and/or test, preferably of defense-related components or systems
experience maintaining large, complex facility equipment
Communicate with cross-disciplined, diverse engineering team members and suppliers to analyze capabilities and compliance to requirements
Work under limited supervision and act as the responsible field engineer in a management role over entire subsystems within an effort. This often requires the ability to direct, delegate and review the work of others.
Experience with effective communication (written and verbal) with others in order to document actions and results and to communicate to program management and customers through presentations and reports
Demonstrated experience with organizational and intermediate electrical troubleshooting techniques of HVAC systems and sb systems.
Knowledge of the safe work practices regarding operation and sustainment of HVAC equipment.
Must be able to work in harsh climates and be able to lift 50 lbs.
Qualifications We Prefer
NATE (North American Technician Excellence)
8+ years of experience in the HVAC engineering field, development, and/or test, preferably defense-related components or systems.
Demonstrated collaboration with cross-disciplined teams, using trust, respect, and innovation to drive results towards a shared vision.
Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business.
Demonstrated experience with training of team members.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for technical analysis, data sorting, and technical documentation
Previous experience in International EWR FMS Programs.
Experience living and working in an overseas location.
Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years’ experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
